As you may or may not know I’m moving house. Oh the joys of renting… BUT I’m excited about this move as it has given me the ultimate excuse to de-clutter and re-organise EVERYTHING. Also, look what I found! A lone June mini kit.
Who wants it?
Leave a comment here for your chance to win. I’ll draw the winner sometime next week when I surface from under all the boxes… 🙂
Ok. So I had originally said that the winner of this giveaway would be beginning of last week. Then I changed it to Friday of last week. And now it’s Tuesday and I have FINALLY made a decision and chosen a winner. Why is lateness my greatness today?…
…because it was so very difficult to choose only one comment. There were so many honest and heartfelt comments left.
You are all such beautiful people with a true purpose and true sense of what is important about memory keeping. Capturing and recording and, of course, sharing. You all took me on a little journey inside your worlds. Thank you. x
If you haven’t re-visited the original blog post please do. I have replied to all the comments because I am so appreciative of your time and honesty. Some of them even made me tear up. All of them I could relate to in some way.
The comment that I chose was from Melissa. She wrote:
My love of scrapbooking and memory keeping came from my dad. Yep my Dad! He is a memory keeper – he never throws a memory away. They have always been put in a book or file somewhere. I love the way that to him, every memory is special regardless of the event or if its just life. He taught me that everyday life is special.
My earliest memory of a scrapbook of sorts is the file/diary my parents kept of the year we spent in Canada. I was 5. This is a day by day record of all the memories we made there…together. (this is making me teary just typing it!!). Life just there is black/white/colour and ink! This is why i love our craft…I just wish i could find some time.
How wonderful is that. Her inspiration to scrapbook/memory keep came from her dad!
Congratulations Melissa. Please contact me via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your address and I will send you out your green SN@P! binder asap.
Have a wonderful day all! xxx
Hello wet Saturday!
My house is full and noisy again (yay!) and I’ve come back from my two day visit to my grandparents with a renewed enthusiasm for documenting my ‘everyday’. I have lots of ideas to share with you which I hope will inspire and enthuse you all to either start or continue to document your lives. The craft of memory keeping is just so worth the effort and time that we put in. More on that later. x
