week twelve

Project Life, 2012 | Week Twelve.

Welcome to Week Twelve of my Project Life journey.

Do you ever stand back after completing your week + realise that you have stuck to a specific colour scheme without meaning too? That happened to me this week. Light blue. I also noticed that I had documented a lot about Scarlett’s week. I wrote about how well she is doing at Kindy, included a photo of her class that was in the local newspaper, the insert was about her first ever school cross country race experience + I documented one of the things she said to me during the week. Funny how that happens.

Love how the kids awards are conveniently sized for the Project Life page protector pockets! Here’s a look at my inserts about Scarlett. I used 8.5×11 We R Memory Keepers inserts. {These will be available in my store very soon!}.

I really like making tabs for my inserts. I use tabs a lot on my layouts too. This one was made using my favourite file tab punch by McGill + some Kraft cardstock. Perfect place to stamp the date. Perfect place to add a bit of stitching.

I love how my girls play together. Still trying to include more 4×6 photos in my Project Life pages. I’ve had that stop watch tag for years! I knew it would be perfect for something someday. Stella + William both had their cross country run the day before Scarlett so I used the tag to date document that. Those tiny alphabet stickers are called Petites by Fundamentals. You can find them Spotlight. They come in kraft, black on white + white on black. Very handy.

Have you ever just been going about your day, lost in your own little world of thought, + you look up + someone just smiles at you? Or perhaps you have been that person who as smiled at someone else + given them a special little moment. I did that the other day + I was shocked when the other person who I was smiling at looked shocked. Like I was a strange human being. What’s with that? I going to spontaneously smile at more people interested to see what reaction I get 🙂 As a result I related to this quote that I saw on Facebook. Just had to use it on my title card. The ruler ribbon is a bit of scrap I had on my table. It’s from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology collection. One of the first products I ever bought of Tim Holtz + I still love it. Come to think of it, that cute little smileys ticket was one of the first products I had bought of Jenni Bowlin Studio’s. You can never deny yourself of your favourite products. Of course, that’s another Flair Button by Ormolu {a new favourite}… The patterned paper with the people on it is from Amy Tangerine. I have a lot of scraps of that 12×12 sheet + I just love using it.

I’m really content with how this week turned out. Let me know what you think. x
