A month or so ago one of my giveaways was a Snippets paper pad by Studio Calico.
The winner was Belinda.
When she won Belinda promised that she would email through photos of what she created using her prize and guess what?…
…this weekend she did!
These gorgeous, bright, colourful layouts were all created using patterned paper from the Snippets paper pad.
Belinda thank you for following through and sharing your beautiful layouts with me and then allowing me to pop them on my blog to share and inspire others.
Have a wonderful start to your week everyone! xxx
Have you created anything using products from my store? I’d love to see what you have put together whether it’s Project Life pages, layouts, cards, tags anything! Contact me via email (email@example.com) or via the Polka Dot Creative facebook page if you are willing to share and inspire others.
PS | Thank you for all your feedback on my first video post yesterday. x
So I told everyone that I would be releasing my April mini kit by the end of the week. All my beautiful collaborators had their products in to me on time (thank you!) but life got hectic with the last day of term etc blah and the release didn’t happen. Bummer.
Then in the early hours of this morning I instagrammed that the release would be today. I even through in a ‘promise’. Well, technically I’m being true to my word, however, I know that you all wanted it sooner. I’m so sorry and thank you so much for your patience. xxx
Here it is!
My April 2013 Polka Dot Creative mini kit was inspired by my new found love of the month. The Snippets collection from Studio Calico. Included in the collection is a patterned paper called ‘Me Oh My’. It has 12 really fun 3 x 4 cards and the colours are scrumptious. It also includes a bit of black which I love working with. The mini kit easily came together from there with the beautiful help of Karen. Thank you my friend. xxx
My April mini kit includes:
4 different 4 x 6 patterned papers, 2 cards of each, including ‘Remember’ from Amy Tangerine’s new collection Yes, Please, ‘The Good Life’ also from Amy Tangerine, ‘Newsprint’ from the Classic Calico 2 collection, and ‘Silly’ from the Heyday collection also by Studio Calico.
1 handmade tag my friend Karen. Karen has a beautiful blog called Audrey and Bear.
3 vellum Chaos Cards from our very own Documenting Chaos.
1 Cherry Flair camera flair button from our very own A Piece of Cake Designs.
Approximately 16 inches of twine. (Please note that the colours vary. You will have the possibility of received either blue, black, red, orange or pink bakers twine).
10 blue self adhesive dots.
2, 3 x 4 cards from the ‘Me Oh My’ patterned paper from the Snippets collection by Studio Calico. (Please note that the 2 cards are individually selected to make sure that the 2 cards co-ordinate with each other).
2 wooden mini pegs.
All the embellishments come in a glassine bag which is also great to use in your project.
Don’t forget that if you wish to purchase a VERTICAL version of this mini kit please let me know in the comments section of the PayPal part of your purchase and I will custom make your mini kit just for you.
A big thank you to Karen, Sarah and Raquel for your collaborations. As always such a wonderful, fun experience working with you girls. xxx
Thank you so much for you continued enthusiasm and support with my mini kits. I know I have said it before many, many times but I really, REALLY mean it.
I’ll be on my little lonesome for the next 5 days while my beautiful babes go on their next adventure with their dad so you’ll be ‘seeing’ a lot from me. Thank goodness for my ‘creative place’ during these quiet times.
Bye for now! xxx
Polka Dot Creative MINI KITS are available for only $15, $20 including postage if purchased on its own. If purchased with other products the postage will be charged according to the usual Shipping Policy. Please note that not every kit is the same. Welcome to my Project Life 2013 | Week Eleven.
This week I used patterned paper from the scrumptious new Studio Calico collection Snippets. Woot, Howdy, Hmmm, Stop and Oh Snap. I’ve popped images of all the patterned papers that I’ve used in this week at the bottom of this post for you to have a closer look.
My week eleven includes an insert full of school awards that Scarlett received during the week. More on that further down the post.
The left side without the insert. I love the colours of the Snippets collection. Bright, light and it lends itself to my Seafoam core kit beautifully.
This the left side with the insert down. I used some of those fabulous Life, semi-tranparent stickers from Amy Tangerines new collection called Yes, Please. (Yes, I’m getting more in, I promise. Watch my facebook page for the big announcement.)
The right side with the insert down. Scarlett was awarded Star of the week. She was sent home with a perspex star trophy that she was allowed to keep for the week and these awards. Her gorgeous, nurturing teacher wrote a note in Scarlett’s school diary which I took a photo of and popped in.
The right side without the insert. Lots of red in the photos so the Stop patterned paper worked well.
I had seen Kellie from Give a Girl a Blog do this with the twine a few weeks ago and have been dying to try it out ever since. Kellie’s blog is always full of inspiration.
The arrows are some wood veneers I had floating around. I used my Jenni Bowlin acrylic dabbers to paint them colours that would complement the colours in the patterned papers.
The tag with the camera is a thank you tag that I send to my customers with their orders. (I had spelt a customers name wrong on the back but, in keeping with my inability to throw anything out, I kept it and used it here.) The date stamp from Amy Tangerine.
That little hand sewn heart tag is one I created myself. They are available here in packs of three.
That yellow arrow is another hand sewn tag available in the pack of three. The blue arrow is a Documenting Chaos Chaos Card that I had left over from one of my mini kits. I used a Speckled Egg acrylic paint dabber from Jenni Bowlin on this one. The arrow is painted with a dabber also.
Do you have trouble getting your kids to eat their school lunch? Scarlett is a nightmare. Even writing her little notes doesn’t seem to help.
I love using Project Life for the home of all their awards. This page protector is a 6 x 12 from the Becky Higgins Project Life range.
William is the oldest grandchild on my side of the family. There are 9 of them. He is so patient with his little cousins and I’m so proud of him. Abbie is the youngest and she just adores William. 9 grandkiddos in 10 years.
Do you ever make journaling mistakes on the journaling cards? I do ALL the time but I tend to still keep them. I flip them over and try and use them again. This is what I did for that yellow journaling card from the Seafoam core kit. Handy!
Love this photo of Stella. I had struck her on a ‘no photos Mum!’ day. Thrilled that my girls are getting more creative!
More wood veneers that I attacked with some acrylic paint dabbers.
So happy that my Scarlett has a friend as sweet as Noah. And don’t you just LOVE my little spiderman? I’m happy to report that he no longer launches himself off our furniture. That incident free phase passed quickly, thank goodness.
The blue love tag is the final of the three included in my hand sewn tag pack.
Thanks for checking out my Week Eleven. I’ve completed by Week Twelve which I’ll blog in a couple of days. I’m excited to show you my Week Twelve as I used my March Mini Kit. It came together really quickly. Look out for blog posts from others that have used the March Mini Kit for inspiration. More on that later though.
Wishing you all a great week! xxx
