Script / Stamp Collaboration with Kellie Stamps.

Hello Tuesday!

If I told you how excited I am about this collaboration you would laugh at me… Seriously.

Kellie from Kellie Stamps, aka Give a Girl a Blog aka my creative kindred spirit, and I have joined together to bring you an limited offer to get your chosen word for 2015 created into script and made into a wood mounted stamp, for you to stamp over and over. Read More

15 Favourites Before 2015 | Photos.

Hello Wednesday!

Today I’m playing along with Kellie’s 15 Favourite Before 2015 posts. It’s all about posting five of your favourite photos taken in 2014. To be honest these are only five of our favourite photos of 2014. I take a lot of photos each year so to narrow it down to five of my absolute favourites is literally impossible. And it’s not because I’m a great photographer. Far from it. It’s because there are so many photos that I have taken in 2014 that mean so much to me. Read More

Stitching and stamps and ants in my pants.

Hello Wednesday!

Lately I’m having trouble just sitting and doing nothing. I think it’s from constantly being on the go and I’m simply out of practice. While my house was quiet last weekend when my babes were visiting their dad and with my determination to ‘relax’ and watch and movie from start to finish (a real treat for me) I pulled out my collection of Amy Tangerine embroidery kits, embroidery threads and played – while relaxing of course. Here is one of the projects I did.

Not every part of the image has to be used. I chose the circle out of the centre of the camera from the ‘Capture’ embroidery stencil kit. I love the result.

The back isn’t pretty but don’t worry. No one will see it once it’s placed in our Project Life albums or on top of a card.

The next day I added some stamps from Kellie Stamps.

This is such a quick and easy little project.

PS | the movie that I watched was ‘Are We Officially Dating?’. Hilarious!

Around Here…

Hello Saturday!

Our little cottage. I love coming home. I look forward to walking through that door. My little garden at the front needs some TLC. The bushes at the front there have become diseased. I’ve pulled them out and filled the gap with the lavender. I’m thinking I might plant white daisies. Hardy and cheap and oh so pretty. What do you think?

Inside out little cottage. Light bulbs need changing, homework is about to start, there is stuff all over the table and tea is on. Our reality. Our now.

Scrolling back through some old photos and found this one I took last December. I love my business stamp loving designed by my darling, creative friend Kellie of Give a Girl a Blog / Kellie Stamps.

My cool baby girl Stella. But wait. She did this to the photo….

IMG_1518

Sigh. She’s obsessed with the A Beautiful Mess app. Love it!!

A brush script I did late this week after reading through some pages of my favourite Jane Austen novel Pride and Prejudice. I’m in love with the words she used. Incandescently happy… I mean really. Scrumptious.

Working on save the date and wedding invitations. The brush script venture is opening new doors to new opportunities and I’m thrilled and grateful. x

Enjoy your Saturday lovelies. xxx

Stamps, paint and excess 3×4’s.

Hello Monday!

IMG_0988

I have so many 3×4 and 4×6 Project Life cards in my stash. Lots of old designs which don’t fit in with my style these days. In an attempt to simplify and de-clutter my creative space (and my life in general) I’m trying really hard to use what I already have.

One solution for excess Project Life cards is this. A lot of the older Project Life cards were designed with one side only. The opposite side was either left blank or ruled. A perfect blank canvas for some of our own creativity.

I grabbed my kids watercolour palettes and painted a rough circle, stripe, or shape of some sort. The beauty of using watercolours is that they dry super fast.

Then I reached for my Kellie Stamps stash and my trusty Stazon black in pad.

Give it a try. The whole creative process took literally 10mins. I’m planning on using the cards in my week eleven of my Project Life album.

Hope you’re all having a great start to your week! xxx
