With the release of this 10th issue we also celebrate Jot Magazine’s 2nd birthday!
People all over the world are receiving their THRIVE t-shirts that feature my brush script. The t-shirts are part of a fundraising effort for my friend Jennifer Lake to help ease the financial burden that she is facing after undergoing her third surgery in as little as ten months due to a condition that she has called Chiari Malformation. I’m terrible at keeping secrets so I am relieved to finally be able to blurt out the news! I’m collaborating the crazy talented Olya of Paint Paper Studio and joined forces with an army of artists, hand picked by Olya, from all over the world. Each of us have contributed to her bright, fun and fabulous app called Paint Paper Studio App. The App includes hand drawn sketches, typography brush scripts and more. The team is collectively thrilled with the result.
Our project #myselfiescrapbook has come to an end. I found this project a challenge but for all the right reasons. I’m really glad I did it. It made me take more photos of me, to be kinder to me, and it has definitely encouraged me to include more of my own photos in our 2015 Project Life album. I’d say my

Well hello Monday!
Ten months ago I met a girl called Jen via Instagram. She commented on a photo of my script and asked if I would create a piece for her. We have been mates ever since. At the time Jen was lying in her hospital bed recovering from her first neurosurgery.
And hey to those who are visiting from the #myselfiescrapbook community. I have to be truly honest with you all. I absolutely HATE the selfie. Hate it! I do that little flip-the-screen mode thing on my phone and instantly…well…feel confronted. I make the UGH sound. I see myself and I think UGH I look so tired
