Living Buddha, Living Christ.
I’m coming across some life changing reads of late. Here is one. Living Buddha, Living Christ. I’ve read it front to back twice and it’s become one of those regulars that I pick up, open at a random page and be instantly reminded and inspired of goodness.
Absorbing Living Buddha, Living Christ has inspired me to be a better person. It’s inspired me to want to be more sympathetic, empathic. To listen harder and understand more. It reminds me to put myself in the others shoes and see things from their perspective. It’s reminded me not to be scared and to open my heart to new experiences and opportunities. It’s reminded me that if I ever feel wobbly to stop and return to me, return within, and use my breath. Back to basics. Breathe in and breath out. It’s reminded me that I am supported, that we all are.

I AM THERE FOR YOU.
The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence. When our mindfulness embraces those we love, they will bloom like flowers. If you love someone but rarely make yourself available to him or her, that isn’t true love. When your beloved is suffering, you need to recognise her suffering, anxiety, and worries, and just by doing that, you already offer some relief. Mindfulness relieves suffering because it is filled with understanding and compassion. When you are really there, showing your loving-kindness and understanding, the energy of the Holy Spirit is in you…..
….Mindfulness is very much like the Holy Spirit. Both of them help us touch the ultimate dimension of reality. Mindfulness helps us touch nirvana, and the Holy Spirit offers us a door to the Trinity.
I think this applies to everyone in our lives, collectively – ourSelves, our friends, our family, our children, our lovers. Everyone.

I’ll definitely be checking this one out. Thanks for sharing!
Like I said Marina…I’ve read it twice now. It’s one of those books that you can read all they way through and then open up and read one of the short chapters as a beautiful reminder. Let me know what you think after you have read it. And thanks for taking the time to leave your comment. xxx
I love this book. I love all of his writings. This book has made the small, curated list for each of my kids to have when they leave for college + life. So good.
Yes Jennifer. A wonderful idea. I’m seeing more and more how open my babes are to what I am doing, the holistic approach to life I am gradually taking. I’m realising that I don’t have to force this change on my children. It’s happening organically. They see me to it and how much I love it and how it is benefiting me (and ultimately us – a happy healthy mama can give so much more to her babes). They see me reading these beautiful books, they see me mediating and doing my yoga, they see me using essential oils and everything else I’m incorporating into my life – and they are being inspired to follow my lead. I’ve grabbed myself a copy of “Breathe! You are Alive” Have you read that one? Thank you for taking the time to leave you comment. x
