Lemongrass.

As we continue on our natural health care journey we are constantly coming across new essential oils that we explore, experiment with inevitably come to depend on. Lemongrass is one of those oils. Here are a few of the things that we now use Lemongrass essential oil for in our day to day lives.

1. Natural bug repellant when combined with Fractionated Coconut oil and spread over legs, back of neck, etc.

2. Added to our doTERRA unscented moisturiser for skin care. Lemongrass sterilises pores and invigorates our skin with it’s antiseptic and astringent properties.

3. Relieves worries helping us to sleep better. We add it to our nightly moisturiser or massage oil and/or diffuse.

4. Relieves muscle tension and discomfort. Again combine with a carrier oil like Fractionated Coconut Oil and massage in.

5. Powerful detoxifier for the liver, kidneys, digestive system. Add a drop or two of Lemongrass to your tea or soup. I did this for the first time last night and it was yum.

6. I’ve added Lemongrass, Lemon and Lime to our multi purpose surface spray as a change from our usual On Guard and Lemon combo. Does every thing from kitchen to bathrooms.

7. Add Lemongrass to your assault on respiratory discomfort with the cooler months approaching. Lemongrass can fight bacteria and has a cooling effect so if anyone is feeling a little warm.

Lemongrass, also known as the Oil of Cleansing, offers fabulous emotional support. I diffuse Lemongrass when I need to give our little abode a good clean out. Encourages me to let go of those clothes, toys, and things that no longer have a use for us. Also encourages me to let go of those emotions and thoughts that no longer serve me helping me to continue to move forward in life.
