Project Life | Our Gratitude Album.
Each year I embark on a form of memory keeping called Project Life where I pull together the photos and memories of our days and put them into an album full of plastic pocket pages. I’ve been doing this form of memory keeping since 2009. You can see our previous years of memory and creativity here.
This year the kids and I have decided to create our 2016 Project Life in the form of a Gratitude Album instead of our usual, chronological day-by-day record of our lives. We are going to approach it loosely gathering the photos and notes of gratitude and put them into our album using nothing but white Project Life cards and our trusty Artline pen to journal what and why we are grateful. Nothing complicated but definitely heartfelt. Our Gratitude Album is just part of our efforts here at 209 to slow down and appreciate what we have right now. It’s important to me that my babes grow up trying hard to live in the moment and not take anything for granted. I’m grateful that this form of memory keeping lends itself to different approaches. I still love pulling together our memories in these creative ways.
XO
