Connections. Fate?
Hey Gorgeous Sunday.
“Sometimes you meet someone, and it’s so clear that the two of you, on some level, belong together….”
You belong together. As lovers, as friends, or as family, or – as the words above say – or as something entirely different. I love when that connection with someone happens don’t you? And it can’t be ignored. Gracious who would want to ignore it?! I think it’s pretty magical. I believe in it. And I also believe that it never goes away. That chance, utterly unexpected meeting. Just one day, there they are. Right in front of you. And you know you just have to say hello to them because you know they will be a part of your life in some way or another for the rest of your days. And I now know that no matter how much time has passed, no matter how long it’s been since you’ve seen that person, if that connection was there in the beginning it will carry on being there, always.
I have had the beautiful experience of feeling an instant connection with people more than once in my life. Like I said, it’s magical. And yes, those people have made me feel alive in every sense of the word – happy, determined, excited, motivated, heartbroken, inspired. I’ve felt the whole spectrum. I have felt and I feel alive.
Is it coincidence, or fate, or sheer blind luck when you meet people you instantly ‘click’ with?
I’m leaning towards the concept of fate more and more and more. Letting go and trusting the journey. There are certain areas of our lives where we have to work our little butts off to make things happen – career I guess being one of them. But as far as family, friendships and love goes I like to think of it as a bit of gentle, heartfelt nurture with a big side helping of fate. Go on, call me a romantic. I don’t mind. (*I’m smiling at you right now*).
What will be will be. XO
