Reflection + Soup. Because He Said So.
I spent some time with my old friend this weekend. He’s a friend who seems to randomly re-enter my life when things are a little challenging around here. His words calm me, reassure me and quieten my over thinking mind. Thank goodness for old mates. He gave me some homework until we meet again. 1. Stop over thinking everything. 2. Take time to reflect so that I’m reminded of how far I’ve come. 3. Cook soup, it warms the soul. And 4. No matter what happens simply breathe it all in then breathe it all out. After our coffee/tea this morning I came inside and put together this Life @ 209 post all in the name of reflection. The soup is on too. x
I’ve been having a ball exploring the new app that I’m a part of. Paint Paper Studio App. So proud of this collaboration with the wonderful Olya Schmidt. You can download yours for free in the Apple Store. If you grab it and have a play you can share your creations on social media by using the hashtag #paintpaperstudioapp.
This has been me all week. And it worked. Ready to welcome a new start tomorrow.
My new brand business stamps arrived from the talented creative Kellie Winnell. Thanks chook! I love them.
My very own THRIVE t-shirt arrived! This collaboration for a cause has been such a fulfilling experience. The t-shirts are available one more day but they can be made available again. If there are 10 t-shirts reserved the company will re-open sales. We have sold close to 400 t-shirts already. I have another one coming for myself and William, Stella, Scarlett have put their orders in for the Kids Editions. You can order yours here. Every single cent goes to Jennifer Lake. You can read more about this fundraiser for this beautiful girl on her blog Sunlight and Air.
On Tuesday I visited a friend and met her two gorgeous 4 month old donkeys. They are magical. Seriously magical.
Stella has begun ballet again in this gorgeous old hall in near by Morpeth. I’m thrilled that she is revisiting this love of hers.
I’ve recently discovered the wise and positive words of Alex Elle. Can’t stop scripting them.
Pens. Sigh. Love.
This Friday night I was called a prude for not liking the movie ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’. I wrote about it on my blog yesterday. It opened up some great discussion on my Instagram feed too. Appears I’m not alone.
