Project Life, 2015 | Week Ten.
And welcome to week ten of our Project Life album for 2015. It was a wonderful week. William had his Rhee Taekwondo beach training session which we all love, I recorded my first ever podcast interview and I went to a ball! I also included a few everyday moments like how every Thursday Henry and Scarlett always hide behind the gum trees at the school after picking up William from training, and how during the parent teacher interviews William was hit in the face by a basketball and how he discovered how painful that can be – poor darling. And Pa’s portrait came back from the framers – emotional moment.
For our week ten I used a combination of beautiful products whilst continuing to keep things simple and clean. The Studio Calico Project Life kit called Odyssey released in March was made up of scrumptious blues and zesty lemons. I received a delightful package from Color Cast Designs last week full of gorgeous wood veneers and acrylic embellishments, and of course all the stamps that have used are from my darling girl Kellie of Kellie Stamps.
The Studio Calico kit came with these beautiful blue stars which I used all on my title card.
Sometimes when you order kits from overseas the seasons don’t always match up to those of the southern hemisphere. That dotted 3×4 card had a reference to spring on it. But I loved the dots so I took one of the cardstock embellishments from the kit, the ‘breathe’ circle, and adhered it to the card. No it relates to us and our here and now.
Kellie’s ‘the cutest thing ever’ stamp is stamped onto vellum with Stazon black ink. And the ‘so yeah this happened’ is from a fun stamp set from Kellie Stamps due to be released later this month.
I love getting on Pinterest and finding inspiring words. This 4×6 is one of those finds which I printed directly onto a 4×6 piece of photo paper and slipped straight into our album. Easy. So easy.
I have begun to add more photos of me in our album. Being mindful to add more of me in our album which doesn’t come natrually I must say. I’m currently taking part in, and contributing to, a project / class called #myselfiescrapbook. You can see more details about that here and here. If you would like to join us it’s not too late. It’s a free class with weekly prompts from a bunch of beautiful creatives all over the world. We are working with 4×4 sized albums. Gorgeous, fun size to work with, not too intimidating. And we are focusing on embracing the selfie for the soul purpose of getting more of ourselves in our projects.
I hope you’re Monday is going beautifully for you! XO
