Project Life, 2015 | Week Nine.
And welcome to week nine of our Project Life album for 2015. HUGE week around here at 209 including International Day at school where all four babes got dressed up, Henry received Star of the Week (the celebrations went on all weekend), the 9th issue of Jot Magazine was released in which I am a contributor so that wasboth exciting and thrill, I helped out at the school for a day, and did a 5km Fun Run with the school on Sunday. The extras plus the regular and numerous after school activities during the week made for a hectic five days. But we loved it all and we survived.
The upside? A crazy week means lots of lots of content and storytelling for our Project Life album.
I managed to include five pieces of memorabilia into week nine. That tag on the title card from a new pair of pants, Henrys yellow award, a note of thanks for helping out at the school, my fun run number and Henry’s Star of the Week award which are both added as an insert.
I love including memorabilia and I love the eclectic look it gives our pages.
I also used the stamped vellum embellishments (you can see the step-by-step posts that I put together called Stamping on Vellum (also a handy step-by-step if you’re a beginner stamper) and Using Your Homemade Stamped Vellum Embellishments), stamps from Kellie Stamps, Becky Higgins Project Life cards from the Midnight, Clementine and A Beautiful Mess kits, and a pink watercolour brush script LOVE card that I created myself.
Not only did I stamp on vellum this week but I also wrote some of my journaling on vellum which is handy when you are using a filler card from one of the Project Life kits that perhaps has a pattern on it – like the black dotted card that I used to put the Jot Magazine pic onto. I used an black felt tip Artline 0.4 pen to write a tiny bit about my excitement about the release of Issue 9 of the mag and adhered it to the card using my tiny attacher stapler (any stapler would do the job though).
If you haven’t stamped on vellum before and would like to give it a go check out my previous posts this week to find out how easy it actually is. Don’t forget to grab for free brush script offering for the week and pop on over to Kellie Stamps and grab your very own ‘Good Times’ stamp set.
