Week in the Life, 2014 | Wednesday Photos and Words.
I made a conscious effort to chill, relax. I took photos when the moment allowed. I made a conscious effort to BE IN THE MOMENT and not just capture and record it. I noticed the little details around me. In a few days these details will be on paper. I can’t wait to bring all our days together in the album.
Morning routine of packing lunches. I use to do it the night before but I have lost that good habit. Although now that the kids are a bit older and don’t need as much of my time to get ready it seems to be going ok time wise. I love packing lunches if I have a cupboard full of food. They are eating little buns with ham or home cooked lamb and/or cornmeat these days. I never thought we’d see the end of the Vegemite sandwich and while they still have that they are asking for variety more and more. The day the don’t want my homemade chocolate cake is the day I will feel redundant as a mother. Lol.
William took this photo as we drove into the school car park. We see this sign every single morning and afternoon. Love the trees.
After having a breakfast date with a friend (which I didn’t take a photo for…grrrr…) I’m home. Henry is at preschool so it’s just me. Domestic duties done and now creating. Hello self timer on my iPhone.
Back in the car for school pick up. Hot, black leather seats. I’m wearing a long, bright orange skirt which will save my legs from being burnt. Always travelling with a bottle of water, maybe two.
Home from school pick up and the kids are straight outside under the sprinkler outside. Scarlett didn’t even take the time to change her clothes. Fur babies happy everyone is home.
Changing pups water. Doing this about 3 times a day in this warmer weather.
How our cupboards look. That nutella isn’t for the kids 😉
Self timer. Washing up the lunch containers. I like to do this as soon as we get home, bags away, one less job out of my head.
Stealing a few moments to catch up on some Week in the Life notes for Wednesday.
An impromptu BBQ with Lise and her kids, Mum and Dad. These are the best.
The afternoon sun slowly disappearing. The boys making the most of it.
There are actually three people on this couch. Grateful for the love in our home.
