Project Life, 2014 | Week Five.

Hello Friday!

And welcome to week five of my Project Life journey. This week I used my Polka Dot Creative mini kit called “XO”.

The “XO” mini kit includes some of my brush script card designs, some Kellie Stamps flair buttons, a pre-pierced embroidery tag with thread and needle, some Amy Tangerine patterned papers and silhouette cut cork prepared by our creative team member Petra.

I’m continuing to use Design A Becky Higgins page protectors throughout 2014.

The brush script is a photo I took of my work. The actual piece is a lot bigger in real life but I wanted to include the words in my week five. The colour lent itself to the teal xo’s too. It’s backed with a piece of the brown paper bag used to package the “XO” mini kit. I love using scraps.

I misplaced my Becky Higgins date stamp while I was creating (have since found it, phew) so I simply wrote the date in.

And that stamp?? Gorgeous isn’t it! It’s part of the Kellie Stamps March release called Magical available now.

The top of that tag is from the & embroidery tag that is included in the “XO” mini kit.

Don’t be afraid to journal directly onto the Becky Higgins textured journaling cards. Yes it is a textured surface but still beautiful to write on. I have them in my store, on sale, here.

This “Cozy” stamp set is new for March from Kellie Stamps…

…as is this ‘insta summer’ stamp. It’s called Summer Fun.

Here I used another piece of the brown paper packaging bag. You can even see the Polka Dot Creative business stamp! lol.

The ‘watertight, laughter, fun’ stamp is another Kellie Stamps set called ‘Summer Mini’.

The & embroidered tag is included in the “XO” mini kit complete with instructions, thread and a needle. I thought it would be a perfect and easy way to introduce those who purchased the mini kit to the fabulous world of embroidery onto paper. There is ample thread included. I used the left over thread to create an arrow under the cork word ‘week’.
