Guest Post | Ali’s Moloney’s Father’s Day gift.
I would like to welcome back to my blog Ali Moloney. Ali purchased one of my handmade daybooks and today she is sharing with us her finished project. I am really excited for you all to see this as I just love making the daybooks and think that they are perfect for a project such as Ali’s.
Hi my name is Ali Moloney, and I would love to share with you this gorgeous daybook made by Jodie that I used as a Father’s Day gift.
I have kept it very simple, and have used photo’s on hand, and also some favourite photo’s of Jason’s.
We have some family routines and I have highlighted them in here (pancakes for breakfast every Sunday is one!)
…and his present is a bit of a tradition now – Season Membership to the Broncos. He goes to with our eldest son, and next year with one of the trio in turns.
Jason was very happy – he has many handmade mini books and often they double as Father’s Day gifts or bithday gifts, as he keeps them with him when traveling or to show at work.
And yep, I have triplets – first Hayden, who is 6, and Brendan, Emma and Caitlyn, are are 3. I love including a birth shot every year of one of them. It always brings back the moment ‘when’ he became a father. And I love the saying “A daddy is his son’s first hero and his daughters first love”. It’s just perfect!
Added to the mix I have used only Project Life journaling cards (Cobalt) and the Father’s Day stamp set from Give a Girl a Stamp. That is it! The lovely outer bag is also made by Jodie, and is what my gorgeous daybook came in.
So thank you Jodie for the opportunity to share – I hope you like it 🙂 You can find me at Moloney Mayhem for more quirky insights into the mayhem that is our lives!
Thank you Ali! What you have done is just perfect for Father’s Day and I am so happy that Jason loved it. It’s also wonderful to know that he appreciates and treasures what you do and what you have done for him with documenting your lives in such a heartfelt way.
This particular daybook is made from patterned papers from the Here and There collection by Studio Calico which is currently 50% off in my store sale. I design the front cover using bits and bobs I have on my workbench or you can specify what you would prefer. You can find more info on my handmade daybooks here.
Enjoy your Wednesday all! x
